Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American stage and screen actor best famous for her role in film on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the television show The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is a writer and actress working in film, theater and television. Her acting career started in the theatre. Later, she was a part of various television series, independent films and mainstream movies. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she was praised by critics and received numerous nominations and awards including The Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. She made her professional acting debut as Ariel In The Tempest in 1995. Stage credits consist of Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. Film-wise she's most popular for roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her most well-known role is her character on the crime drama series on ABC, High Incident.
